Tracking Devices
FUNNY: I was watching a 1951 movie called ‘The Mob’ and the police needed to track a vehicle one evening. So they installed something in the rear right wheel well that would drop some ‘glow in the dark’ liquid every several seconds. This liquid would fall onto the tire and leave a trail on the ground as the vehicle was driven. Then the police drove along with a black light and followed the ‘glow in the dark’ trail to the car’s hideout.
One caveat: They almost lost the trail when, as luck had it, a street sweeper was washing part of the road.
Technology sure has changed. Back then people couldn’t have even conceived of GPS satellites, Cellular Technology and the Internet for GPS Vehicle tracking devices.
